In Goa, local craftsmen produce an extensive range of crafts, ranging from Terracotta Pottery and statues to fabulous brass lamps and other decorative objects. The folk paintings of Goa mostly portray occurrences from the traditional Indian epics - The Mahabharata, The Ramayana and The Puranas and also some well-known illustrations from the New Testament.
